Gauze (also called muslin) is a loosely woven cotton fabric. Layering six sheets of it creates a blanket with thousands of tiny air pockets, so it feels airy in summer and insulating in winter. The crinkled texture is intentional and gets softer with every wash.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low, or line dry. Skip fabric softener and bleach. Expect a little shrinkage (1 to 2 inches) after the first wash, which is normal for cotton gauze and already accounted for in our sizing.
