Blankora started with one small frustration: every "cooling" blanket we tried was either a slick synthetic that felt like a shower curtain or a heavy cotton throw that trapped heat. We wanted the thing our grandmothers had, a layered cotton gauze blanket that gets softer every wash and breathes on a hot Texas night.

So we set out to make one product really well. Our 6-layer Cloud Gauze cotton blanket is woven from 100% cotton with a crinkled bubble texture that traps air without trapping heat. It is light enough for August, cozy enough for a cold January, and machine washable.

Then the cat took the blanket

Anyone who shares a couch with a pet knows how this goes: the softest thing in the house becomes theirs. So we made them one of their own. The Snuggle Square is a palm-sized 8 x 8 inch mat in plush coral fleece for cats, kittens, puppies and small dogs. It fits a carrier, a cat perch or a crate corner, comes in 35 playful patterns, and goes straight in the wash. Two blankets, one idea: softness for everyone in the house.
